So, I have always thought it would be really fun to have my own tv show. I have been contemplating and thinking about it for a while now and have decided to use this blog as a place to post what I would do if I had my own tv show. It would be a "Martha Stewart" type show where I would do crafts, cooking, maybe some gardening and other around-the-house activities. I am going to commit to at least once a week posting some new craft, at home project, recipe, etc on my blog and maybe some helpfun tips and ideas on how to stay healthy, make your life easier and maybe even some fun low cost (or no cost) things to do around the area. It has been something I have been interested in doing and think about often. So here we go.
I thought I would start off with some fun Halloween things it being the end of October and all.
First some fun homemade costume ideas:
Black Eyed Pea (This is one is brought to you by my sister Laura who did this several years ago for Halloween)
- you will need: a light plain colored t-shirt, a black sharpie, black eye makeup.
- 1. using your sharpie write a big letter "P" on the front of your shirt.
2. take the black eye make and color a circle around one of your eyes.
Easy, huh?

Game Boy (this one is for boys)
- you will need: a plain colored t-shirt, iron-on paper or a black sharpie
1. either using the paper or marker draw a pair of dice onto a t-shirt and write "Game boy" on the shirt.
another easy one.

Angel (Dani gave me the idea for this one) I am planning on doing this for Celeste this year. I got this off another website and have not tried it yet, but it seems to be easy enough.
- you will need: white clothes, 2 wire hangers, a pair of queen sized pantyhose, scissors, duct tape, 2 yards of ribbon, a glue gun, and decorations
- Assemble the Wings
Here's how to shape the angel wings:
Take one hanger or wire piece and bend it into a pointed oval shape to form the first wing
The hook should be in the inner center of the wing, wound around the frame so that nothing is poking out
Close the ends securely with duct tape
Form the second hanger into an identical shape
Join the two wings at the center with duct tape
Stretch one leg of pantyhose over each wing, tucking away the excess in the center using more duct tape
Run ribbon around the center, and wrap around your waste and shoulders so that it ties securely--trim any excess once you have a good fit

Well that is all of my homemade costume ideas. I am not sure how many people will read this but that's ok, I am glad to be able ot get these ideas out of head and written down.
More Halloween fun to come later, like how to protect your self from zombie attacks, fun halloween food, and more! Stay Tuned.

So I was just reading over some of my old blogs (didn't take long considering I have only 6) and realized that I had forgotten about some of the things I had written about. I love reading old journal entries and the like and regret not keeping up with it. Oh well, I will try to do better in the future.
Halloween is coming up and i am looking forward to sharing candy with Celeste. She will be two by then, it is hard to believe but she is already two years old. What is even harder to believe is that Charlie will be 2 and Celeste almost 4 when Sean returns from his mission, crazy huh?
Well I am going to cutting this one short because it is late, and I need sleep. That's life with a baby though. g'night

A New Post! Can you believe it?

I can't believe it has been almost two years since I last posted, wow! I have decided I am going to try to become a blogger, even if it is once a month or so, i am going to try to keep it updated. Almost two years and a lot has changed, missions, new additions and much more. Sean left on his mission about a month ago and is going to out to the field today! Nathan and I had a baby, Charles Theodore Rathjen. Yes, another CTR and so adorable. Celeste is learning how to talk and know some animal noises and some colors! Well anyway, I am going to have to cut this one a little short, Charlie is getting upset. Hope to post more soon!!!
